Playing music since age 2, Chris has mastered several instruments including brass and woodwind instruments, piano, drums, and others. After moving to Vermont from Boston at age 12, he started playing guitar and almost immediately started a band with present day SPECTRIS member TODD WESTFALL. Chris moved back to Boston after high school and played in several bands including Jazzin’ Hell, Dreamstreet, Roxx, and acoustic duet Apriori Statement. He returned to Vermont in 1996 and soon after rejoined Todd to start writing and rehearsing new material, much of which would become songs performed and recorded by SPECTRIS. Chris's influences include Brian May, David Gilmour, Martin Barre, Alex Lifeson, Al DiMeola, Steve Howe, Gary Green, Ian Crighton, Steve Hackett, Robert Fripp, Allan Holdsworth and Jerry Garcia.
Todd learned the basics of drumming from his older brother John, who had returned home from the service when Todd was in grade 7. He bought his first drum set for a mere $100 and played that kit for more than 20 years. In high school, Todd and Chris played together but it wasn’t until several years later that they were in a position to pursue music seriously. Todd's influences include Neil Peart, Vinnie Appice, Sib Hasian-He admires such modern drummers as Dan Carey, Matt McDonough, Lars Ulrich, and Shawn Drover.

His vocal influences run from modern day singers such as Maynard James Keenan of Tool and Layne Staley (R.I.P) of Alice In Chains to more classically rooted singers such as former Motley Crue front man John Corabi (one of his all time favorites.) and legends like Steven Tyler and Robert Plant. Guitar wise he credits Edward Van Halen, Tracii Guns, Slash and Prince for making him take the six-string thing seriously.
